Three new commanders: Welder (Common), Forklift Operator (Rare), and Diplomat (Legendary) — the first Contract Board-exclusive Unique Commander. Complete Daily, Weekly, and Monthly contracts for cash, boosts, and Unique Commander progress; the exclusive slot rotates every 14 days and requires finishing all available contracts first. Four new commanders joined the roster: Uncle Sam (Common, 4th of July event), Sergeant (Rare), Tank (Epic), and Stalker (Legendary) from the Military Compound LTM (~2-hour rotation). Mystery Supply Drops also roll a random commander when destroyed.

The Commanders Pt. 2 patch added a brand-new Admiral rarity plus 8 units: Broker and Foreman (Common), Artillery, Barrier and Looter (Rare), Overclocker (Epic), and Apache and Carrier (Admiral). A limited-time Conquerors pack adds two more.
Two new event maps — Harbor and Oil Rig — each spawn two event-exclusive commanders, and Salvager, Engineer, Gunner and Spotter are now ground units. New unit abilities are pending in-game verification.
Commanders are special units you can equip in Merge a Nuke to give your island passive buffs. Each commander has a unique ability — from automatically merging your lowest nukes every minute, to boosting the cash output of nearby nukes every 30 seconds, to adding a flat +15% damage bonus to every nuke attack you launch.
After the July 18, 2026 update there are 5 rarity tiers: Common (7 commanders), Rare (9 commanders), Epic (5 commanders), Legendary (4 commanders), and Admiral (3 commanders). Higher rarity means stronger and rarer abilities. Multiple commanders can be active at the same time.
Commanders first appear as enemy units on the shared map — they arrive by boat and have an HP bar. Any player can attack them, but only the player who lands the killing blow captures the commander.
Commanders can be unlocked in seven ways. Capturing them on event maps — Harbor, Oil Rig, Military Compound, Town Square, and Military Base — is the most reliable free method for exclusives, while the Contract Board, Advanced Warfare Pack, and Mystery Supply Drops add grind, Robux, and passive RNG paths.
Defeat a spawned commander on the map
Commanders arrive by boat and appear on the shared map as enemy units with an HP bar. Attack them with your nukes — whoever lands the final hit captures the commander.
Bring your strongest nuke. Other players compete for the same commander, so hit fast and hard.
Buy one in the Shop / Inventory
As of July 25, 2026 the Commanders button was replaced with Inventory. Open Inventory / Shop and check commander or pack sections. Commanders can be purchased with in-game cash or Robux, and Explosion Effects also live under Inventory.
Spending cash is faster but costs more. Save Robux purchases for rare packs such as Galactic Commander Pack or Space Explosion Pack (70 Robux per spin).
Earn free at level milestones
Starter and some custom commanders are granted for free when you reach certain in-game levels or upgrade ranks.
Check your progress milestones — you may already have a free commander waiting to be claimed.
Spawn during event maps
Harbor, Oil Rig, Downtown, Shipping Port, Military Compound, Military Base, and Town Square rotate as event or spawn targets. Beat the event or roll the drop pool — Military Compound runs every ~2 hours and drops Stalker (Legendary) when cleared. Town Square is a Tier 1 map with 150,000 HP.
Event commanders only appear during the active window. Check which map is live before grinding.
Roll the Galactic Commander Pack
Added July 25, 2026. Opens six new commanders: Abductor, Leviathan, Wormhole Engineer, Recycler, Hologram Shaper, and Smuggler. Exact drop rates were not published in the patch notes.
Separate from the Space Explosion Pack (70 Robux per spin for explosion effects). Ability and rarity text for the six Galactic units are still pending verification.
Roll the Advanced Warfare Commander Pack
Open the Shop and buy the Advanced Warfare Commander Pack (added July 13, 2026). Reported drop rates: Grifter 35%, Scout 30%, Sapper 20%, Medic 10%, Recon 4.5%, Drone 0.5%.

Complete Contract Board contracts
The Contract Board (July 18, 2026) has 5 Daily, 5 Weekly, and 2 Monthly slots. Completing contracts grants cash, temporary boosts, permanent stat boosts, and progress toward a Unique Commander that rotates every 14 days.
Diplomat is the first Contract Board-exclusive Unique Commander. Claim it only after finishing all available contracts on the board.
Destroy Mystery Supply Drops
Mystery Supply Drops have a 50% chance to spawn every 3 minutes. Destroy one to roll a random commander from all available pools in the game.
Low effort but RNG-heavy — good filler while you wait for a timed event map to open.
