Core mechanic

How to Merge Nukes

Merging is the heart of Merge a Nuke. Drag identical tiers together, double the level each time, and climb toward stronger passive income and raid damage.

Same level only

You can only merge two nukes of the exact same tier — a 4 with a 4, an 8 with an 8, and so on.

Doubles each step

Two level-2 nukes become level 4. Two level-4s become level 8. The merge number doubles every time.

No mixing high and low

A high-tier nuke cannot merge with a lower-tier bomb. Drag duplicates together or leave them apart.

Clear board space first

A full base slows every decision. Merge the lowest duplicates first to open tiles for new spawns.

Step-by-step merge flow

  1. Step 1

    Spawn or buy bombs

New nukes appear on your island automatically after Store upgrades, or from code rewards.

  2. Step 2

    Find matching pairs

Look for two nukes with the same level number or identical appearance.

  3. Step 3

    Drag one onto the other

On PC, drag and drop. On mobile, tap and drag. They combine into the next tier up.

  4. Step 4

    Chain upward

Keep merging duplicates toward 16, 32, 64, and beyond. Higher tiers earn more cash per second.

  5. Step 5

    Lock if threatened

If another player is raiding, activate Lock Base before you lose your merge chain.

Common mistakes

  • Hoarding many low-tier bombs instead of merging them immediately.
  • Letting the board fill up so new spawns have nowhere to land.
  • Trying to combine different tier levels and wondering why nothing happens.
  • Merging without locking first while other players are actively raiding.

Faster spawns come from Store upgrades. See which nuke names to chase on the Tier List.

New player route

First 30 Minutes

A simple beginner route to give your base a strong, fast start. Follow these steps in order before experimenting on your own.

  1. Step 1

    Redeem all active codes

Grab every working code first so you start with extra cash and nukes.

  2. Step 2

    Merge starter nukes

Combine your lowest bombs quickly to free up space and raise income.

  3. Step 3

    Spend on Store upgrades

Buy Spawn Speed, then Spawn Tier and Max Spawn — see the Upgrades guide for order.

  4. Step 4

    Keep your base organized

A tidy layout makes merging faster and prevents costly mistakes.

  5. Step 5

    Unlock stronger nukes

Push toward higher tiers once your income can support the jump.

  6. Step 6

Try raids only when income is stable

Raiding too early stalls your growth — build a steady base first.

  7. Step 7

Lock your base before going offline

Protect your progress so you return to a safe, productive base.

Progression Roadmap

Follow this path from your first bombs to rebirth. Each stage builds on the last, so don't skip ahead before your base is ready.

Pro tips

  • Use the in-game Index as the source of truth for names — this table is a community map.
  • Merge level doubles each step: 2 → 4 → 8 → 16 → 32 → 64 → 128 → 256 → 512 → …
  • Chase A-tier or higher before investing heavily in PvP raids.
  • Rebirth unlocks nukes beyond the mid-game cap — do not assume Mega Nuke is the final tier.
  • Re-evaluate names and income after every Friday patch.

Friday patches can rebalance nukes, offline rates, and raid damage. After each update, re-check this tier list alongside the Codes and Progression guides.

Raid & defense

Raid & Base Defense

PvP raids steal from players. The center city is separate PvE with huge payouts. Win more by attacking smart, locking often, and knowing when each target is worth it.

Check shields before you launch — locked bases block raids

PvP Raid Strategy

Attack other players

  • Raid only when your income and defense are both ready.
  • Check if the target has Lock Base active before you launch.
  • Use raids to accelerate progression — not as a constant grind.

Base Lock & Defense

Stay protected

  • Lock your base before going offline, every single time.
  • Protect your highest-tier nukes — raids can wipe your board.
  • Upgrade Lock duration and cooldown in the Store when lobbies get aggressive.

PvP raid step-by-step

  1. Step 1

    Check your launch cooldown

Nukes cannot fire back-to-back instantly. Wait for Attack Ready before committing.

  2. Step 2

    Scout the target's shield

If their base is locked, your raid will bounce — pick another target or wait.

  3. Step 3

    Pick weaker or unlocked bases

Newer players and open bases are safer bets than maxed locked accounts.

  4. Step 4

    Launch and collect stolen cash

Successful hits pay cash based on your nuke tier and what the target was holding.

  5. Step 5

    Expect retaliation

Raiding creates enemies. Lock your base or be ready to lose board progress.

What happens if you get raided?

  • Getting raided can wipe nukes from your board and reset merge progress you were building.
  • Stronger attackers destroy more — high-tier boards need Lock Base and Nuke Health upgrades.
  • Raiding too early stalls growth if you lose income nukes and spend cash rebuilding.

Lock Base & shield mechanics

  • Lock Base = shield

Activating Lock Base protects your island from other players for a limited time.

  • Short default duration

Early shields last roughly a minute — upgrade Lock Base duration in the Store for longer windows.

  • Cooldown between locks

After a shield expires, you must wait before locking again. Quicker Lock Cooldown helps in busy lobbies.

  • Lock before merging offline

Never leave a full board exposed. One raid can undo a long merge chain.

Upgrade lock duration and cooldown in the Store upgrades guide.

Center City (PvE)

The map center has a city target separate from player bases. It opens on a long cooldown, pays huge rewards, and often requires your strongest nukes.

  • Look for Attack Ready on the city — community gameplay shows cooldowns around 40+ minutes between openings.
  • When the city opens, you have a limited window to launch — prioritize your highest-damage nukes.
  • City hits can pay far more than early PvP raids; many late-game players farm the city over random players.
  • Multiple players launching at once can cause missiles to collide mid-air — stagger launches if possible.
  • City damage scales with nuke tier — late named nukes (Oblivion Maestro, Omega Point, etc.) are built for this.

PvP vs PvE: PvP raids steal from players. Center city is PvE with a timer — different cooldown, different payout, often better for late-game income.

Offline Cash Tips

Set your base up to keep earning while you're away. A little prep before logging off means a much bigger payout when you return.

Earn offline — but lock your base first

Upgrade income first

Raise your earning rate before you log off so cash piles up faster.

Suggested priority: High

Lock your base

Secure your layout and nukes so nothing is lost while you are away.

Suggested priority: Essential

Spend wisely on return

Put your offline earnings into the next meaningful income upgrade.

Suggested priority: Medium

Skip low-value buys

Don't waste early cash on upgrades that barely move your progress.

Suggested priority: Helpful
